TWENTY THREE THINGS THAT OFFERINGS DO FOR YOU

Twenty – Three Things Offerings Do For You
Did you know
As you present your offerings and tithes before the Lord, they orchestrate events in the spiritual world, on your behalf?
Offerings have a voice both in the spiritual and the physical realm.
Tithes and offerings speak before Father’s throne on your behalf.
Offerings testify for you in the heavenly courtroom.
Offerings have been catalysts of events on earth from the time of Adam and Eve down to the present generation.

A.   How to give an offering

Ø      The widow’s offering (Mark 12:41-44)
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
 Lesson 1
Give your offering as you have determined in your heart and not for show.

Ø      Anger and Reconciliation (Mark 12:41-44)
23"Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,24leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. 25"Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Lesson 2
This scriptural reference tells us that we cannot give offering when we have harbored feelings of bitterness, hatred and have unresolved issues with others.   This is because the offering has a voice and a sound; it is a representation of our status of heart, mind and soul at the time of giving. Our Father is able to discern our status as we give and search out the things that concealed by the hearts of men.   An offering given with bitterness, hatred, coercion, and other unpleasant feelings will bear the same exact sound as it is presented before Our Father.  More so, every time it is called upon to give witness for you in the heavenly court, the sound that it will produce will be the sound of the state of your heart at the time of giving. Therefore, We must strive as a child of God to give an offering with a clean and pure heart so that it bears a good sound/testimony for you.

B.   What offerings do for you in the spiritual realm

1.     According to Acts 10:20; the prayers and the giving of Cornelius came before the Lord as a memorial; that was the testimony of the Angel that appeared before Cornelius bore.
Father let my giving and prayer appear before you as a memorial in Jesus name.

2.     The giving coupled by prayer caused an Angel of the Lord to be dispatched from the presence of God to the earth, in answer to the prayer.
a)   Father let my giving and prayer cause an angel to come to my help in Jesus name.
b)   I decree and declare that my offering and prayer will release an angel from heaven to me.

3.    In Acts 10:20; we are told that the offering caused records to be kept in heaven for Cornelius.   Memorial in the Greek version means - a record. May records be kept in the heavenly for you and testify for you in the day the books are called for at the general assembly in heaven as seen in Daniel 7:9-13.

4.    In Philippians 4:17: Paul when admonishing the church of Thessalonica says; not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.
Father let this offering today be recorded in my heavenly books of account in the name of Jesus.

5.    The offerings of King Solomon caused fire to come from heaven.  Fire in this case and in many cases in the Old Testament was an indication that the offering was acceptable to the Lord and much favor was gained by the offering (2 Chronicles 7.1).
a)   Let my offering this day cause fire to come down from heaven as answer to my prayer in the name of Jesus.
b)   Lord who answers by fire answer me by fire today by reason of this offering in the name of Jesus.

6.    Offerings cause the favor of the Lord to visit you.
When King Solomon gave an offering dedicating the temple of the Lord, that night the Lord visited him.  This is an indication of the favor that King Solomon received as a result of the offering he had given.  Prior to the offering there is no indication of a divine visitation to King Solomon
Father let my offering receive favor before you this day in the name of Jesus.

7.    The offerings of King Solomon caused the glory of the Lord to come and fill the temple.  May your offering cause the glory of God to come and fill your life;  You are the temple of the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

8.    The offerings of King Solomon caused a divine visitation by the Lord, (2 chronicles 7:1) Solomon offered in excess of what was required, and the bible records that night the Lord visited him.
Jehovah let my offering cause You to divinely visit me in Jesus name

9.    The offerings of King Solomon caused the storehouse of heaven to open for him. (Chronicles 7:1) the testimony of the Lord was that because he did not ask for riches and wealth, he would receive this unconditionally and as an additive.  The offerings caused the doors to open for King Solomon and to an extent that he was able to have a conversation with the Lord.

10.            According to Genesis 9, the offering caused the Lord to covenant with Noah concerning mankind.  When Noah gave an offering to the Lord after the flood.  The Lord spoke  and the Lord smelled a sweet savor; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
May your offering cause the Lord to covenant with you, your bloodline, and humankind. The offering that Noah gave to the Lord was a sweet scent to the nostrils of the Father and it caused the Lord to turn away from future action of destruction upon humankind.  He swore an oath by himself because of the offering.  Noah's offering caused a change in the tidings of humankind.

Your offering can cause:
·         a change in the tidings of humankind;
·         nations can be saved because of your offering,
·         national disasters can be averted because of your offering.
a)   Father in the name of Jesus, let my offering today be a sweet scent in your nostrils.
b)   Father, may this offering cause you to covenant with my family, my bloodline, my generation, my nation in the name of Jesus.

11.            Offerings cause the Lord to quickly be a witness for you for you against the following, (Malachi 3:4-6):

a)    Sorcerers: those that practice magic, those that whisper a spell
b)    Adulterers: those that commit adultery
c)    Perjurers: those that accuse falsely
d)    Those that oppress the fatherless
e)    Those that oppress the widows
f)    Those that oppress laborers
g)    Those that deprive the aliens of justice
h)    Those that do not fear God
Glory be to God! This thought is too high to be contained by any human mind. Your offering- when giving a pleasant sound before the Lord- causes the one sitting at the Judge’s seat, to move from it and become a witness for you in the court room.
a)   Father, as I give my offering today rise up and become a witness for me against all the sorcerers (Choose one at a time of the 8 Items) in my life.
Brethren, may your offering cause the Lord to stand as witness against all those that are accusing you falsely.
For those in foreign lands as aliens, oppressed with no one to fight for them, may the Lord take up your case and begin witnessing for you by virtue of your offering.
For those heavily burdened with disease, infirmity, sickness, poverty amongst others, may your offerings receive the backing of the blood of Jesus and rise up to be a voice that will silence the accuser who has been accusing you before the Father day and night.
Praise to be to our God for graciously giving us this weapon to us to use against the enemy.
b)   Father thank you that by reason of this offering you are a witness for me in the courtroom of heaven against;
a)    those doing sorcery against me,
b)    those strangers committing adultery in my marital bed,
c)    those accusing me falsely,
d)    those oppressing the fatherless,
e)    those oppressing me at the work place(s),
f)    those depriving me of justice in a foreign land.

c)   Thank you father that this offering is releasing judgments against the witches, strangers in my marriage, false accusers, oppressors, those depriving me of justice in a foreign land in the name of Jesus.

12.            Offerings cause the windows of heaven to open for you. (Malachi 3:10)
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing, that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Father may my offering this day cause the windows of heaven to open for me in the name of Jesus

13.            Offerings cause the caterpillar, wormwood, cankerworm to be rebuked in your life. (Malachi 3:10-11). The devourer refers to all kinds of destroyers such the locusts, the canker - worm, and the caterpillar amongst others. The devourers that are visible and the invisible.  In NIV  God says he will prevent the pests from devouring your crops.  Pests are defined as a plant or animal detrimental to humans or human concerns"; alternative meanings include organisms that cause nuisance and epidemic disease associated with high mortality.
·         Thank you father that every devourer in my life is being rebuked by reason of my offering this day in the name of Jesus.

14.            All nations will call you blessed because of your tithe and offering.  (Malachi 3: 11). As a result of your offering individuals and groups of people will call you blessed.   Those in charge of nations will call you blessed because of giving of your tithe.  These include those in the physical and the spiritual realm.  Your tithes and offerings cause you to have standing before the throne room of the father and the courtrooms of heaven.  The tithe qualifies you and gives you protection by our heavenly father to address the courtroom over nations or the court of nations.

15.            Offerings speak before the throne room of the father for you.Malachi 3:16 a book of remembrance is written in the presence of the Lord concerning those that fear the Lord and speak and honor  his name

16.             Offerings testify before the courtrooms of heaven on your behalf.  Malachi 3:4-6 when Jerusalem offered her offerings in righteousness, God became a swift witness for her(Jerusalem).  Witnesses are found in courtrooms as they testify for or against the plaintiff.

17.             Offerings speak into the life of your generations; way past your lifetime.
A case in point was Abraham who gave a tithe that spoke for Levi even when he was his loins.  According to Hebrews 9:7 Levi did not give the tithe, because he was considered a tithe to the Lord; a tribe dedicated to the service of the Lord. May your tithe and offerings station themselves at the gates of your generations and speak for your generations. Thank you Jesus!!
a)   Father let this offering speak into the lives of my children and their generations to the coming of Christ in the name of Jesus
b)    Let this offering speak;
a)   Long life to my offspring’s  in Jesus name,
b)   Salvation to my generation ,
c)   a Godly generation,
d)   Godly spouses to my bloodline,
e)   Establishment into my bloodline,
f)   Mighty men and women,
g)   Favor upon my bloodline,
h)   Financial breakthrough to my bloodline,
i)    Blessing’s of a thousand generation in each generation.

18.             Offerings silence voices speaking against you.

19.              Offerings cause the judgment of the lord to be stayed; 1 chronicles 21:15-27
15And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the Lord beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the Lord stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces. 17 And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? Even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O Lord my God, be on me, and on my father’s house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued......26 And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the Lord; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. 27 And the Lord commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof
Father let this offering stay every judgment being executed against
my life
my family
my business
my nation
my generation

20.            Offerings influence national events.
In 1 chronicles 21:16-26.  Death had visited the nation of Israel under the ruler ship of King David (who was the king, and the appointed man of the hour).  Satan influenced him to take a census of the people. The Lord found to this to be repulsive and a reproach to the nation.  As a result the Angel of Death visited the nation and killed thousands of people.
When David presented burnt offerings and peace offerings, the Lord commanded the angel and he put away his sword. The judgment was suspended.
The king’s offerings suspended and caused a revision of the judgment of the Lord from the nation of Israel. Those in positions of authority have a mighty influence over the events of a nation.  Their offerings too influence national events.
Revelation 5:10: says that we have been made kings and priests to reign on the earth through the blood of Jesus.
As the church, the Lord is calling upon us to take our position as a priests and as a kings and deliberately present an offering to the Lord that our nation may be saved.

21.            Offerings cause the priests to have sufficient food to eat and plenty for left over; 2 chronicles 31: 11; And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the Lord hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.  11 Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord; and they prepared them, Priests in the house of the Lord will have sufficient to eat and plenty for left over.
·         Father my offering will cause the priests to have sufficient food to eat and plenty for left over in the name of Jesus

22.           Offerings meet needs of a ministry/ church supernaturally. The ministry of Jesus had a need. The crowd had been listening to Jesus speak in the wilderness and they were hungry in need of food. The little boy had only 5 loaves and 2 fish which he gave.  These 5 loaves and 2 fish multiplied supernaturally and feed Five thousand men excluding the women and children. The need was met supernaturally. Glory be to God! Right there was an anointing of multiplication.  This was because of the offering that was presented.
Father let the anointing of multiplication rest upon my offering that it may meet every need in the ministry and church that I give to supernaturally to the Glory and Honour of Your Name.

23.            Offerings cause an open heaven.
In Malachi 3:10 the offerings and tithe cause the windows of heaven to open
Whenever offerings were given answers to prayer was received, there was an open heaven.
Father thank you that my offering will cause an open heaven for me in the name of Jesus

C.   Additional prayer points when giving the tithe and the offering.

1. Father I thank you that the offering is silencing every voice of ( put the below) in my life in the name of Jesus
a)   Task masters
b)   Mammon spirit
c)   The Spirit of poverty
d)   The Spirit of near success
e)   The Spirit of hard labor with little result

2. Father I thank you that my offering is as sweet incense before you.
3. Master I give you glory that my offering produces a good sound before you every time it testifies for me in the heavenly courts in Jesus name.
4. Blood of Jesus back up the voice of my offering in every heavenly courtroom in Jesus name.
5. Father I thank you that my offering is standing as a witness for me in the name of Jesus
6. Let my offering answer every wicked voice speaking over my finances and businesses in the name of Jesus.

FEET WASHING

Feet washing
John 13: 2-16
The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place.“Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
What is feet washing?
Feet washing was the act that Jesus did when, after the last supper, he rose up girded himself up with a towel, took a basin of water washed & wiped all of his disciples’ feet.
Peter engaged Jesus in the process telling him that he should also wash his whole body. However, Jesus told him there is no need to do so as he was already clean. Jesus afterwards told his disciples that they should do the same.
What does feet washing symbolize?
Cleansing: Jesus told his disciples that as they are clean they only need to wash their feet. John 13:10 Christ said…” he who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean, and you are clean but not all of you.”

Servitude: Jesus was showing that his ministry is a ministry of serving not of being served.  Christ is the perfect example as he stooped and served his disciples in an act that was for servants at that time.  He took the position of a servant showing by his act that he was a servant as much as he was the Lord and Savior.
Humility:  By serving and washing his disciples feet Jesus was humbling himself and taking a position of a servant though he was King and Savior.
New beginning: The feet washing marked the end of one season and the beginning of a new one for the disciples and Jesus.  The next event after this was the arrest of Jesus Christ and his trial.
Separation: Jesus told Judas that he should go and do what he was to do quickly.  This was after the feet washing act. This act is a prophetic act of washing and putting away the old and embracing the new. John 13:11…..you are clean but not all of you.

Who should do the feet washing?
Husband to wife, wife to husband
Parents to children
Priests to congregation
Believers in a fellowship

How should we feet wash?
According to the scriptures
Jesus Christ himself took a basin and a towel and washed the disciples feet one after the other and he dried their feet with the towel.

When should we feet wash?
There is no specific time in the scripture that we should feet wash.  Jesus washed his disciples feet after they had had their last supper.
Feet washing can be done at a start of a new season in your life e.g. when changing stations in life, at the entrance of marriage, at educational gates, birthdays amongst others.
It can also be done at the beginning of a New Year, and a new month.
Effects of washing of feet
Feet washing deals with the following in our lives
1.   Breaks the spirit of lameness.
Lameness has been defined as: walking unevenly because of a leg injury or motion impairment, unconvincing, ineffective, boring and old fashioned.
1.1            Effects of lameness
    i.            Confinement.  In the spiritual arena the spirit of lameness will hinder you from moving from glory to glory, and to flow in the things of God.
ii.            Immobilization or stationary in one area.  It brings stagnation in your spiritual and physical life; there is no or little movement.
iii.            The body becomes a weight or burden.  The things that the Lord has given you to do become burdens, whereas the bible says that the burden of the lord is easy.  If you are called into ministry, the calling becomes heavy and burdensome.
iv.            It is disfiguring.  There is no beauty in your life and the glory of God which is beautifying is absent from your life.  The glory of God beautifies.
    v.            Cannot wear shoes or adorn your feet.  How beautify are the feet of them that brings Good news.  Lameness hinders/or may hinder you from adorning yourself and limit you from sharing the gospel with the people the Lord brings your way.
vi.            Carried from place to place.  Lameness causes you to become a dependant on others to move you from place to place.  There is no direct revelation you receive from the Lord.  You can only dependent on what others are receiving from the Lord.  The bible says we have been made to be priests and kings. (Rev 5:10) The blood of Jesus carries priesthood in it.
vii.            Unconvincing.  Lameness causes you to become unconvincing, throwing a blanket of disbelief concerning what you are saying or doing.
viii.            Ineffective.  Lameness will cause ineffectiveness in your life, ministry, and business.  You are not an effective minister of the lord.
ix.            Boring and old fashioned.  Lameness can cause you to become old fashioned i.e. not in tandem with the season and times of the Lord.  The children of Israel were instructed to move when the cloud would move and if the cloud was stationery they would likewise stay on the same spot.  How sad for the one who would have said “this is the best place ever! Even if the cloud has moved I will continue to stay on”.  He surely would have missed the plans and purposes of the Lord and missed entering into the land of Canaan.
    x.            Repulsive: Lameness can cause you to become unattractive. Instead of drawing people to you, you end up repelling them.
Feet washing breaks the bonds, chains, fetters and yokes of the lame spirit as its focus is on the feet.
Prayer points
*      Father release healing in my feet in the name of Jesus.
*      I decree and declare healing in my feet by the blood of Jesus.
*      Every fetter, chain of darkness over my feet break in the name of Jesus.
*      Every padlock on my feet let the voice of the blood of Jesus thunder against it in the name of Jesus.

*      I will be feet to the lame in the name of Jesus (Job 29:5)
*      My feet shall not slip in Jesus Name (Psalms 18:36)

2.     Feet washing deals with the sluggard’s spirit
This is a slow-moving, lazy, or sluggish spirit.
This spirit causes you to have the speed of a snail/or a tortoise in everything you do. This spirit drags you, and you take long to undertake simple tasks. It slows down everything you are engaging in. You try to walk but find that you are unable to move. In some cases, mountains, hurdles and barriers ahead of you cause a slow down.
This spirit is very active in Africa where we find that projects and aspirations take longer than necessary to pick up and get moving, some never take off and ideas remain at the conception stage.

This is a spirit of the devil and we need to break its hold over our lives, families, and society in the name of Jesus.

Focus: Thank you Lord that as we wash our feet the chains and fetters of the enemy are broken in our lives in the name of Jesus.

When Elijah had an encounter with the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel, he thereafter prayed for rain. The bible has says that when he saw a cloud the size of a man’s fist he girded up his cloth and run overtaking the king (Ahab) who was on a chariot with horses.
This same anointing is released during feet washing, (over taker’s anointing) and it is available for you, your feet will gain speed and overtake those with horses and chariots in Jesus Name.
Prayer points
*      Blood of Jesus raise your voice over every voice of the sluggard spirit in my life in the name of Jesus.
Blood of Jesus answer every voice of the sluggard spirit in my life in the name of jesus
I stand in agreement with what the blood of Jesus is witnessing to the Father concerning my feet in the name of Jesus (Heb 12:24)
*      Let the hold of a sluggard spirit break in my life in the name of Jesus.
*      I decree and declare that my feet shall have speed by the voice of the blood of Jesus.
*      I decree and declare that I operate the over taker’s speed in my feet by the voice of the blood of Jesus.
*      I soak my feet with the blood of Jesus.
*      Every plan of the enemy to cause me to slow down, by infirmity, wrong circumstances, in my life, marriage, business, scatter in the name of Jesus.
*      My feet shall leap over walls like men of war  in the name of Jesus (Joel 2:7)
3.   Feet washing unveils you
When Jesus washed the disciple’s feet, Judas Iscariot true nature was unveiled.  Jesus also unveiled Peter’s heart.  Judas reaction after the betrayal of Jesus was to hang himself.  This lead to death and eternal separation with Christ, Peter on the other hand denying Christ felt ashamed which lead to repentance and reconciliation with Christ, making true the scripture, a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again (Proverbs 24:16).
4.   Feet washing separates you
Prior to the feet washing all the disciples walking with Jesus seemed to have the same purpose, calling, anointing, and heart for the things of God.
After the feet washing there was a separation.  The true nature of the heart of the disciples was revealed. Jesus told Judas Iscariot, to go and quickly do what he was to do.   Peter was told that he would deny Christ that very night.  The feet washing set apart those for Christ and those against Christ.
When Christ washed their feet, that activity acted as a trigger for the betrayal of Jesus and events moved at an alarming speed ending up with the trial of Jesus Christ.
Prayer points
*      Father, introduce me to the world in the name of Jesus.
*      Every hidden talent/gift manifest in my life by the blood of Jesus.
*      Every ability in my life come forth in the name of Jesus.
*      Father, distinguish me in this new season in the name of Jesus.
5.   Feet washing uncovers the veil in your eyes
After the disciple’s feet were washed, the level of interaction with Jesus increased and they were able to understand who Christ the Messiah truly was. The disciples had walked with Christ the messiah for three years here on earth but only after that act did they truly understood what and who Christ the messiah was.

Prayer points
*      Open my eyes Father that I may clearly see you in Jesus Name.
*      Every veil in my life catch fire in the name of Jesus.
*      Every ungodly covering in my life be destroyed by the blood of Jesus.
*      Father, I declare and decree that the old is passed behold the new has come in Jesus name.
*       Father, let every veil covering my destiny catch fire in the name of Jesus.
*      Every veil covering me and my actions be removed in the name of Jesus.
*      Every hidden glory in my life, my ministry, my family, my business be uncovered in Jesus name.
*
6.   Feet washing refreshes you
Feet washing was a traditional Jewish custom when guests came into the house.  This was mainly because the Jews used to wear sandals and the roads being dusty, often led to the feet of the people being dusty.  Therefore at the onset of a meal or as a guest was being received in the homestead the servants would wash his feet.  This would make the guest feel refreshed and clean,

Refresh me in the name of Jesus
Refresh my spirit man in Jesus name
Refresh my physical man in the name of Jesus
Revive me and renew me in the name of Jesus
