THANKSGIVING: A GUIDE TO THANKSGIVING FOR THE YEAR

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, enter his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name (Psalm 100:4)

Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20)          

Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. ...(Psalm 106:1)

As we come to a close of the year it is important to thank the Lord for the year and the things that the Lord has done for you.  The following guide will help you in identifying areas of thanksgiving.

 

1.Thank the Lord for the year that has been.

Bring every month before the Lord, January to December with thanksgiving

Thank God for his presence in your life every month

Thank God for the gift of life. ( Many have rested this year but you are standing by the grace of God)

Thank God for the years that you have lived.

Bring every year of your life and give thanks for the years of your life

Thank God for the years and ages of your family members

2.Thank God for the gift of salvation.

The gift of the Holy Spirit

Thank God for the precious gift of his Son Jesus

Thank God for the blood that was shed for the remission of your sins

Thank God that the blood of Jesus continually speaks for you before Him

Thank God for the events of Calvary that brought deliverance to us

3. Health

Thank God for your victory over your health.

Remember every infirmity God has given you victory over this year.

 Thank God for victory in health over your family, your children

Thank God that he has been the Lord your healer this year

4.Finances

Thank God for Financial provision for food, transport, cloth

Thank God for the Bills paid

Thank God for the giving you have done this year

Bring every offering and tithe you have presented before the Lord in remembrance before the Lord

Thank God that your offerings have been a voice for you before the courts of heaven.

Thank God for the provision of psalm 20:1-5 over your offerings

5.Family

Thank God for your children (name them)

Thank God for your Spouse

Thank God that your Marriage has held together despite the challenges

Thank God for the separation and or divorce of your marriage

Thank God for the deliverance of your family members

Thank God for the lifting of God in your family

Thank God for the comfort of God in times of pain and sorrow

Thank God for the gift of family in your life

6.Workplace and your business

Thank God for your job, your business

Thank God for any promotions that came your way

Thank God for every opportunity to serve in your place of work

Thank God that people were laid off in many companies but you are still standing and serving at your work place

Thank God for your business

Thank God for every opportunity that has come into your business

Thank God for every sale, presentation made by your business

Thank God for the favor at your workplace, business, projects

7.Nation

Thank God for your Nation

Thank God for the peace in the Nation

Thank God the center of the Nation has held together

Thank God for his mercy over your nation

Thank God that his mercy has continued to prevail over every judgement that would have destroyed your nation

8.Word of God

Thank God for His word to you this year

Revelations, knowledge  and wisdom that the Lord has released to you this year

The clarity on certain mysteries that he has brought your way this year

The promises of God to you and your family

9.Gifts and talents          

Thank God for the spiritual gifts that He has given you

Thank God for the times your gifts and talents have been used for the glory of God

Thank God for the increase in the anointing of God upon your gifts, and talents

10.Answered prayers

Thank God for prayers he has answered in your life this year

Thank God for Projects you have started

Thank God for Projects you have completed this year

Thank God for answers he has given you as you have sought him

11. Friends

Thank the Lord for the gift of friendship

Thank God for the friends you have in your life

Thank God for the people in your life who have become destiny helpers

Thank God for the people who have left your life this year because their season is over

Thank God for new people he has brought into your life this year through jobs, your children, your business, your church activities, your neighborhood, your family and the social activities you are involved in.

12. Men/Women of God

Thank God for your Pastors, and ministry associates

Thank God for men and women who feed you spiritually through the social media, books, and audio

Thank God for people that minister to you in your fellowships and other ad hoc meetings that you attend which have nourished you in the year

13. Special events

Thank God for any special events that occurred in your life this year (examples are: anniversaries, admittance into institutions of learning, landmark events in your life, graduations, special awards, weddings, births, deaths, relocation to a new place

Thank God for the grace of God, the provision of God, the sustenance of God through the special events in your life.
