Presenting the case of the strongmen and principalities that are in our families

1. Enter his gates with thanksgiving

a. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generation (Psalms 100:4-6)

b. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

2. Constitute a court sitting

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the [j]general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. (Hebrews 12:21-24)

“I watched till thrones were [a]put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; 10A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The [b] court was seated, And the books were opened. (Daniel 7:9-11)

 How to constitute a court sitting

Step into the presence of God by Faith.

Invite God as the righteous Judge to constitute a court sitting

Invite Jesus as your Advocate, and Mediator

Invite the Holy Spirit as the lead counsel,

Invite the Angels of God, the church of the firstborn, as your witnesses.

Invite as witnesses the word of God

Call forth for your books of life ( psalms 139:15-16)

 

 

3.Present a  Background of the case

Present the facts in your life that are inconsistent with the word of God.

Areas that you still are experiencing bondage and not the freedom of Christ.

Patterns that exist in your life and your family that show the presence of a strongman, notwithstanding the fact that you are a born again believer.

These patterns can be

a.       Failure at the edge of success

b.      Financial jeopardy at the time when you are enjoying your financial success

c.       Repeated financial challenges in your life

Others are:

d.      People in the family do not pass a certain level of prosperity, or only one person in the

e.      family prospers, no jobs for family members, loss of jobs and incomes at a certain age

f.        Male children in homes are vagabounds,

g.       Drunkardness, drug abuse in family

h.      Family has death patterns every couple of years, or males die at a certain age,

i.         Illnesses and infirmities that are common in your family, eg hypertension, diabetics,

j.        arthritics, cancers, blood diseases, skin conditions, internal organ failure,

k.       Barrenness in the family, or family gets one type of child, either boys only or girls only, or

l.         not carrying babies to full term

m.     Late marriages or no marriages, unhappy, bitter marriages, broken marriages, marriages as 2nd wives, marriages where husband and wife live seperately

Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds

the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. (Mathew 12:29)

4. Basis of the petition

Why are we presenting the petition.  This is because our life is contrary to what the word what the word of God says about your life.

a. Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. ( Isaiah 1:18)

b. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), Galatians 3:13

c. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)

d. Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with [a]blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity. 4 No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive [b]evil and bring forth iniquity.( Isaiah 59:1-4)

e. if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.(2 chronicles 7:14)

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. 4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just [a]when You speak, And blameless when You judge.

5. Repentance over any sin, iniquity, wickedness, transgression, over your life

Repent over anything that has given Satan legality in your life. Any contrary voice over your finances, your life

Any ancestral voices, altars, covenants speaking over your finances

Any political voices, and economic voices speaking death and poverty to your life

Any voice that is speaking over the continent of Africa damning you to poverty and economic retardation

Through deeds, words, thoughts, associations

6. Petition

a. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed

b. Petition  to be set free from every captivity in your finance, and your wealth. The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me [a] to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are [b] oppressed;

c. Petition based on your salvation, that you are an heir, co-heir with Christ, and are a Son of the most High God. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and [c]conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption [d] through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13)

Petition with the promise in Deuteronomy 8:18 You shall remember the Lord your God for it is he who has given you power to get wealth.

Petition with the prayer of Jabez, bless me and enlarge my territory

Petition for a reconciliation of your life with what is written in your books ( Psalm 129:15-16)  read together with Genesis 1:26 God created man in the sixth day and gave him dominion over the fish, the birds in the air, and the beasts of the ground. This is the blue print of your life.

Petition with Psalm 23: 4 that he guides you in paths of righteousness for his own name’s sake.

Petition with Psalm 16: 6 that the boundaries have fallen for you in pleasant places and you have a delightful inheritance, together with It is the appointed season for you to be favoured,  and Job 29:22   there is a lifting.

7. Prayers and decrees  for your life

a.       That your books of life be opened before the Father in the name of Jesus

b.      That the word of God spoken over your life manifest in the name of Jesus

c.       That your life to present the manifest glory of God

d.      That it is the appointed time to favour you

e.      That every strongman’s hold be broken in your life

f.        That every legality that the strongmen have in your life be forgiven

g.       That the handwriting of every written ordinance against your life be blotted out, by

a.       the powerful blood of Jesus

h.      That the blue print of your life to be restituted and restored

i.         That the plans of the Lord concerning your life manifest

j.        That the strongmen and principalities over your wealth and finances be restrained.

8. Receive the verdict and thank the Lord for the judgement from his courtroom

9. Execution of the decrees from the courtroom

Ask for the execution of the decrees received from the courts of Heaven by the Angels of God

Ask that the earth will receive the decrees issued

Let the Angels herald, proclaim, and announce the decrees of God from the Courts for you and your family

Let the records of the earth reflect the decrees of the Lord

10. Exit the courtroom with thanksgiving.

TEN (10) LEADERSHIP TIPS ON COMMUNICATION WITHIN A WORSHIP TEAM

1.         Have a weekly communication between leader and team members

The worship leader/minister should strive to have a one on one with members of the team; this can be deliberately setting out to talk with different members of the team on different days of the week. This creates a sense of well being as the members feel that they belong and are cared for.  The leader will also use this opportunity to bond with the team members and minister to the members on a personal level

2.         Blog:  maintain a blog or a social media page open only to members of the team.  Items that can be posted on this are:

Housekeeping issues

Rosters for different activites, e.g uniform roster, song leaders for the month, musicians for the month, schedule of leaders for the different services,

Contacts for team members,

Code of conduct for members of the team

Any announcements e.g newborn births, birthdays, anniversaries of members etc

3.         Have a weekly devotional for the worship team members which can be posted on the blog

4.         Develop a manual detailing expectations and duties responsibilities of worship team members

Manual can contain, entry and exit of members, purchase of uniforms, code of conduct for members, practice dates, management of resources and otputs of worship team among others

5.         Have a library of materials, accessable to your team members with literature/music that will grow the team members.  This will help your members quickly become on the same page on many issues.  Hebs 10: 3 …By the  renewal of your mind’  What we put in we speak out, as a man thinks so is he.  Influence your members readership by availing to them Godly resources.  

6.         Have a worship team secretariat that maintains a diary of birthdays of members and have surprise cards or a note send to the members on their birthdays and anniversaries.

7.         Have a list of upcoming songs that the members are expected to know and play (for musicians) available on a monthly basis.  This will help minimize on surprises on stage.  Remember practice makes perfect.

8.         Develop a forum where members share their prayer requests with the  team members.  There are several ways this can be done. 

Group the members into prayer teams  

Have the members have a prayer partner from the team

Have a place where the team puts their prayer requests which are then randomly picked and distributed to team members for prayer during the week.

9.         Have a way of receiving feedback from the team members and from the congregation as well, on how to become better worshippers.

10.       The leadership team should create an opportunity for review of the immediate past service.  This will act as a capture basket for small issues which can easily become mountains, and, it also acts as an instant feedback for input for the next service

Joseph’s upgrade: Your upgrade

Genesis 40, 41

The above chapters show a portion of the life of Joseph. Joseph was a man who was loved, by his parents, a dreamer, but he landed into slavery sold by his blood brothers.  (May your brothers not sell you into slavery)

The life of Joseph in slavery is a depiction of many lives today.  Many have great dreams, some have even heard the voice of God in their lives, some have been prophesied to by men of God, but their lives are far from what has been spoken.  this is a caption of the life of Joseph in slavery and how he was delivered from the jaws of the enemy, when he was brought before the king

These are 16 things that happened to Joseph during his transition from prison to the palace

1.                  V33 and now let pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt.  He had unquestionable favor in the eyes of pharaoh and the rulers in pharoah. 

Lord let me have unquestionable favor in the eyes of the leaders of the nation in the name of Jesus

2.                  The cupbearer/ chief butler remembered him: the chief butler was the man that had the ear of pharaoh who was the leader of the greatest nation in the earth then.  May God cause your cupbearer to remember you?  The person who has the ear of the king.

Let my divine helpers remember me in the name of Jesus

3.                  The Lord gave him ideas that were beyond his time.  His plan on how Egypt was to come out of the famine was divine and inspired of God.  He provided solutions that were 14 years ahead of its time.

God give me ideas that are way ahead of my time in the name of Jesus.  Ideas that are decades beyond my time

4.                  He was brought hastily before the king

Bring me hastily/quickly  before the king

5.                  The king called him.

Let the king call for me

6.                  The king revealed to him his secrets. Confided in him. Dreams are not issues you go discussing all over with everyone you met.  You must be close to the person who is telling you or revealing to you his dreams

Let the king confide in me in Jesus name

7.                   Joseph’s counsel was acceptable to the king and to his servants. 

Let my counsel be acceptable to the rulers of nations in the name of Jesus.  Let my counsel be acceptable to the people in authority in my place of work in the name of Jesus

 

8.                  When the famine was at its peak People came from all over the world to seek for grain from Egypt from Joseph.  He was renowned internationally and his name mentioned all over the world. 

May my name be mentioned internationally in the name of Jesus

 Give me an international anointing in the name of Jesus.

May I provide solutions to the world in the name of Jesus

9.              When the king gave him authority, only the king was over him in terms of the throne.  He actually became the ruler of Egypt by default, overnight on the day he was taken from prison.  He did not have to go through special exams, lengthy preparations, and special courses.  He came from prison to ruler ship. 

May I become a ruler in my time in the name of Jesus

10.              He was given new raiment’s to wear.  Kingly garments.  This was before he came before the king.  His garments had changed.  What he had was removed from him before he set sight to the king.

May my garments change, let my glory become kingly in the name of Jesus

11.              He had a new ride.  After he was given the rulership, he rode in the 2^nd chariot of the king.   If he was walking he now rode the chariot of the king.  He was no longer in the junkies, or hoving, or those that got rides.  He had his own limousine 

12.              He married into the correct family.  Is there someone who is looking to be married. 

May I marry into the correct family

13.              He was fruitful had children in the marriage.  His marriage was not a barren marriage.

14.              He was given wisdom above his peers.  The king used to surround himself with people who were superior in knowledge in their various fields.  Yet none had a solution to the king’s problem.  They did not know the dream; neither did they know its interpretation. 

15.              There was relocation.  He moved into the leafy suburbs of the nation.  He overnight moved from the prison to the palace.  In the nation or the world over you will find that there are different levels of doing business, different living standards.  You may think it okay to live in the estates and do business of hundreds on a daily basis.  But there are men and women who do businesses of millions and billions in a single transaction.  Some people are okay if they earn 1,000USD- per deal, but other people that is what they spend over the weekend or at a seating.  Prior to that Joseph had been in charge of the prisons. ( Genesis39: 22,23)  These are the lowest and the dirtiest places to be in ( if you take Kenyan prisons as an example)  he moved from prison business to national and international business of multi millions.

 Relocate me oh lord.  In the name of Jesus. 

Relocate my house into the leafy suburbs of this city.

Relocate my business into the high realms of doing business in this land and the world over in the name of Jesus

Let me begin to do business worth billions in a single deal in the name of Jesus

16.              What he ate changed even before he came before the king.  He could not be brought before the king hungry dirty, and smelling with the old garments of the prison.  He had to be feed, changed and had to smell good.

May you be upgraded in your life in the name of Jesus

Role of a worship leader

what is the role of the worship leader
Sometimes it is not clear what exactly is the role of the worship leader. Many times a worship leader, is the song leader during the service, carries out pastoral duties, is a group leader, a full time ( or not )staff member, a member of the congregation. It may seem to be many things to many people. The roles depends on where you are standing!. That influences how you quite see the praise and worship leader.

To the congregation

He is the song leader,
The person who invites and takes them into the holy presence of God.

He at the same time may speak the word of God to the congregation, encouraging them with scriptures as they come before God

To the worship team/choir:

• He is the leader,
• Offers guidance and couselling
• Song leader
• Mentor

He selects the songs with suggestions(sometimes!) from his team members. His team mates will view him as a mentor by reason of the annointing that rests upon his life. People tend to view the men and women that God uses tremendously as role modes.

How does the word of God view him:

• He is the servant of God; answerable to God and accountable to God for his actions
• He is a person who serves/ministers under authority of the mantle of the angel of the house.
  
• He is the minister who oversees the different expressions of ministration to God through music and other arts.
• He is a song leader; David led the priests in praise, when he met the prophets and the spirit of the lord descended on him
• He is the The keeper of the flame; the oil in the tabernacle was kept burning by the priests who tended it day and night. The levites who are the priests ensured the oil in the lamp did not go out. The worship leader has the responsibility to ensure that the oil in the tabernacle does not go out. He is the leader of the keepers of the flame.
  
• Drawer of the glory of God; the word of God has reports that when sacrifices were made to the Lord at the tabernacle, when the priest lifted their voices in praise, the glory of God came down and no one could go into the tabernacle. the priest with their praise drew the glory of God to the tabernacle. Says may our praise be like incense to him, God inhabits the praise of his people
• kept away the spirit of the devil; when Saul was tormented by an evil spirit, David was called before Saul and ministered to him in song and the evil spirit departed from him.( 1 kings)
  
• Sustains the anointing; in the old testament when the prophet needed to prophesy, they often had a musician come and begin to minister to the lord in song and instrument, and the anointing of God would come upon the Prophet and his spirit would be stirred up and he would be able to prophesy to the people. you will therefore find that many ministers when ministering to the people often like to have music in the background. It sustains the anointing and continually charges the atmosphere
  

In the present day ministration praise & worship is taking an increasing major role in the services. Many services comprise of praise, announcements, and, the sermons and I belive that as the days continue as the Lord continues to unveil his glory he will use more of the ministers of worship where the glory of the lord will cover his people as they worship and lift his name.

Weapons Of Our Warfare

WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE

 The bible admonishes us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.

When praying we need to pray smart, i.e specific measurable, attainable, being Realistically, With a time frame.

An understanding of the weaponry at our disposal will enable us to fight more effectively and become over comers.  An understanding of the weapons we have at our disposal, will enable us to apply them strategically against the enemy of our souls

 Many countries spend billions of their money to train their soldiers and equip them to understand the weapons that they can employ against the enemy in whatever situation.  In fact the security budget is the largest in any given country and is given top priority.  A lot of research goes into security and new weapons are always being developed and tested, so that the army may remain relevant 

 Likewise as believers we should always seek to read and research on the weapons that we can use against the devil and his demons.  An understanding of the weapons of our warfare will enable us to deploy them more effectively and we become snipers in the hand of our master and saviour.  

 Today we will examine the first weapon which is :

1.                 The blood of Jesus

 “I’ve heard that” I can almost hear you say!!! But truly, a deeper understanding of what the blood is and what it did for us will enable any one to become more effective in their prayer life.  Many times we do not clearly understand what kind of victory the blood bought for us, and we only use it lightly.

It is by far one of the most powerful weapon we have in our armory of weapon

 When Jesus died on Calvary, Golgotha, and his blood touched the earth, several things happened,

• there was an earthquake,
• the graves opened,
• the curtain at the temple tore into two,
• there was darkness on the earth for 3 hours. 

It was a defining moment in time, in all history.  The defeat of Satan was being finalized. 

 You see this was the second time Satan was being defeated by the blood. In revelation 12, we read of Satan being cast out of heaven and before he was cast out there was war in heaven where Michael the archangel and his army fought the devil, and cast him out.  The bible says they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony. ( a thousand amens!!!)

 

From then on Satan hated the seed of the woman, and he relentlessly pursues man because of the defeat he suffered, in heaven,(Genesis 12) read it please!!!!, it is simply delicious!!!.  

 We are in a battle standing in a position of victory, because the weapon we are using has already defeated our enemy and will continue to defeat him every time he comes into contact with it.

 That is why when even under extraneous circumstances someone can call on the name of the Lord and the blood of Jesus and the demons and Satan have no choice but to move. 

 What the blood of Jesus does

• It cleanses us from sin, confess your sins and ask for the cleansing of the blood
• It becomes a covering to us as we approach the throne room of the Lord for Mercy ( it is not by our works but by the blood of Christ)
• The blood speaks ( it has a voice) of a better promise to us
• It bloats out ( wipes out) ordinances(curses, stuff) written/ spoken over our lives
• The blood gives us a new relationship with God in that we now become his sons and heirs of his kingdom.
• The blood makes us have a covenant relationship with Christ.  All that he has is ours and all that we have is his.
• The blood overcame satan in heaven, when he was cast out, here on earth by the death of Christ on the cross.  So whenever we use it, Satan is reminded of his defeat.    

  No matter how stubborn an issue has been or no matter how long it has been in existence, the blood of Jesus when applied to that issue or situation can bring a complete turnaround.

 How can I say that, look at what the blood of animals did when Israel was delivered from Egypt.  They had been in bondage for over 400 years, ( I am yet to met/hear  a person  who is 200 years), but with a divine promise (covenant ) and the blood of the Passover, God delivered them overnight, with wealth, riches, favour, freedom, etc.  What then can the blood of Christ which is divine with the a divine covenant of God for Salvation do?  Is there any thing too hard for the Lord

 Further look at what God did when the walls of Jericho came down, the people had just been circumcised, blood had just been poured evoking a covenant of circumcision and walls which had stood for years, strong, unshakeable, immovable, fell down in one go.  Is there any thing too hard for the Lord.

 When Solomon in his dedication of the temple to the Lord slaughtered thousands of animals.  Historians say that the blood that flowed  that day was like a river, and it ran for days. That blood (of animals ) caused God to visit Solomon that night and ask him what he wanted God to do for him.

 We could go on and on, the blood of animals did so much in the old testament, can you imagine the divine, pure, unadulterated, holy blood of the lamb Jesus!!!! It is the ultimate weapon.

 Prayer points

• I activate the speaking of the blood of Jesus
• in my life,
• in my destiny,
• in my marriage,
• in my ministry,
• in my family,
• in my work,
• in my body, in the name of Jesus

 

• I activate the speaking of the blood of Jesus
• upon my foundations,
• my roots,
• my beginnings,
• my birth, in the name of Jesus

 

• I silence the voice of any blood shed in any sacrifice, covenant, agreement, bond, ritual, rite, ceremony, concerning me, by the voice of the blood of Jesus in Jesus name

 

• I bloat out the handwriting of ordinances written against me in the heavenlies, in the earth, under the earth by the blood of Jesus

( these should be prayed repeatedly,  tenaciously, with violence, holy anger, aggression, for a minimum of five minutes each)
